Announcements for the Week of 3/2/09

After Hours Activities for Students Hugely Successful
Nearly 75% of Catalyst Students are involved in after-school activities! Enrollment is solid and growing in Chess, Theater Improv, and Art. After spring break, Catalyst High School will add Cooking, Film Making, and Hiking to the options, in hopes that most Catalyst Students will participate in more than one after-school activity. These classes are offered at an additional fee; scholarships are available.

After School Academic Classes Now Open
The following courses are now being offered to students from other schools who still need the course to graduate from high school. These classes generally meet after regular school hours. Offerings include:

    Math: Pre Algebra through Algebra 2; Pre-Calculus through Calculus
    Composition, Literature, Communications
    World History, American History, Government, Geography 
    Physical & Life Sciences

After Hours Resource for Parents
Parents are encouraged to attend the free Parent Group at Catalyst on Wednesday evenings (6:30 PM). This group is led by Therapist Sheila Ridley, M.Ed., MSW, LSW.  All parents are welcome to attend, whether your student is enrolled at Catalyst or not.

Thursday Evening Speakers Series Begins This Week!
March 5, 6:30 PM. Catalyst Health Coordinator Katy Fleming, MA, will launch our Thursday Evening Workshop for Parents!
Topic: Creating an Honest and Open Dialog about Sex with Your Adolescent.

Earn Up to $300 Off Your Next Monthly Tuition Payment
Limited to the Month of March Only: To encourage participation in our parent support programs, Catalyst Education of Colorado will honor a $25 discount off April's Tuition for Catalyst Parents who attend each free Wednesday Evening Parent Discussion Group and each free Thursday Evening Parent Workshop. Non-Catalyst parents are welcome to attend the weekly Wednesday Parent Group and weekly Thursday Parent Workshops. The same $25 tuition discount per evening attended will apply to parents who start a new student in Catalyst by April 1.
